I have custom orthotics that my Podiatrist made. This is my second pair. The first pair was made from a cast of my foot. The new pair is made from my foot being pressed into a box with a foam liner. The doctor charged me $700 for the new pair. Was told insurance didn’t cover. But, after calling my insurance, they are covered. Not sure how much I will get reimbursed. But, something is better than nothing. I LOVE my orthotics and cannot wear any shoes without them. My arch is super high. ( the secret to getting a proper mold is to have someone press your foot into the mold. Standing up is not the way to get a proper fit)

Honestly as someone that grew up w congenital foot issues, I’d rather walk on sand then a plastic insert, there’s zero cushion for the heel area. People like me want to walk on something like a good thick gel insert.

Paid $500 for mine from my doc and would love to get a 2nd pair but can't afford it. This would be great but i don't have an IPhone and see there is no android app. Very sad 😢

Do they make an orthotic that is ideal for wet conditions? My customs are great, but have an open grain leather on the bottom. I've used them while backpacking, but that leather bottom never really dries out while on trail. Would love to cross creeks at times and know these will dry out nearly as quick as my trail shoes.
