The 2024 Skoda Kodiaq can be a great value large SUV for those wanting five or seven seats. However, because the Kodiaq is priced so close to the £40,000 threshold for luxury car tax, buyers need to choose their engine and trim carefully if they want to maintain the sense of having bought a bargain (a bargain, that is, relative to many other large SUVs).

In this CarGurus UK review, Chris Knapman takes a detailed look at the Kodiaq, and explains where our money would go if we were to place an order.

After 4 mk 1 Kodiaq i'm now on a mk 2 and absolutely love it. With owning 5 I suppose i'm a bit of a Kodiaq fan boi but this mk 2 is a huge improvement on the already impressive mk 1. Love mine.

I do like Skoda, but I despise these big, frumpy SUVs that all manufacturers are churning out.

Nothing sporty about this Sports Utility Vehicle. We need a new designation for this sort of design because SUV doesn't cover it.

Yet another VW group car with really poor ride comfort. Same with my T Roc.
