I wish people understood how POWERFUL this is! Faith is required to love others in situations where your pride will take a big hit! Ahhh, but TRUST God. Your love will resonate long after it was given. A heart of stone will be “pricked” every time they recall what you did or said in pride less love. That’s the Holy Spirit working on them. This makes you an “instrument” of God.

I always thought that Jésus said that because He saw pride in the disciples' heart and compared them to Lucifer who, although created by God and owing him everything, wanted to take his place. As a reminder that those who are proud or exalt themselves, the same way the disciples' were boasting about their exploits against demons, would be humbled the same way Lucifer was humbled

Satan is hate because he is the opposite of God who is love. The only way to defeat Satan is to love your fellow man and to forgive even your enemies. This makes a lot of sense.
