✍️ To create a custom route on Strava, follow these steps:
2. Once you're logged in, click on the "Dashboard" tab at the top of the screen.
3. On the left side of the Dashboard, you'll see a menu. Click on the "Routes" option.
4. In the Routes section, click on the "Create New Route" button. This will open the route creation tool.
5. On the route creation tool, you'll see a map. You can search for a starting location by typing in an address or a specific place in the search box at the top of the screen. You can also manually zoom in and out of the map to find the desired starting point.
6. To create the route, click on the map at the starting location. A marker will appear, and you can then click on different points on the map to plot your route. As you click, the route will be drawn automatically.
7. If you need to adjust a specific point on the route, you can click and drag the markers that appear along the route line. This allows you to modify the path as needed.
8. Strava provides an option to optimize the route based on popular segments. To do this, click on the "Optimize" button at the top right of the screen. This will adjust your route to include popular segments in the area.
9. As you create the route, you can also add waypoints by clicking on the map. Waypoints are useful for adding specific points of interest or to guide you through a particular path.
10. Once you're satisfied with the route, you can give it a name and add a description. You can also specify the activity type (e.g., running, cycling, etc.) and set the visibility of the route (public or private).
11. When you're ready, click on the "Save" button to save the route to your Strava account.
Your custom route is now created and saved on Strava. You can access it from the "Routes" section of your account, and it will be available for navigation or sharing with others.
