It's a shame intel is killing off optane but at least you can get M.2 optane cheap if you know which ones to buy.

Just a stupid question tio the people in the know. I have a 9900K with 2 SSD + 1 NVME + 2 normal Harddrives and 32 GB of ram. The only thing I want is (obviously) to have faster HDDsk access when loading games. Can I (somehow) use my 16+GB of normally unused Ram for that without creating a cheesy Ram-Disk?

Optane is really only good for the random Iops. Shame that it is now dead.

Sorry, how was the SSD+Optane setup? Was Optane the boot drive and SSD for files? or was Optane setup as Pagefile, ZFS or something else?
