Millions using food banks and food being thrown away . This system is seriously broken and needs to be fixed now. I really feel for the farmer.

Thank you for sharing Canadians need to know.

Thing is, this has been happening for as long as I can remember and I'm 50yrs old now. Nothing gets done. Farmers complain a bit, but then get threatened by the government (or bought out to shut up) and then go back to wasteful dumping.

One thing the greenies won't tell you is that we are increasing the amount of food produced faster than the population is growing. The problem or cause of world hunger is that we are terrible at distribution. They want people to believe that we can't produce enough for everyone. Thanks to this farmer more people will see that we absolutely can produce enough. I knew this was happening in Canada but I didn't know we were the only country that does it. That makes me sad. With the price of cheese alone we should be allowing more milk to be sold.

Another example of how broken Canada is. People are hungry, milk costs are going up and we are dumping milk. Pure garbage. Can we get rid of this government already? C’mon Jagmeet, take off your Rolex, roll up your sleeves and do the right thing for the common man.. break up the Bromance!

I am a truck driver that hauling milk. here in Manitoba and this is very true it happens every month at the end of the month farmers are getting over there quota and then they have to dump it straight down the pipeline if they get caught making cheese or selling it or giving it away it’s a $10, 000 fine plus you could lose your quota, and not be allowed to sell milk

Disgusting. That's all I can say.
Absolutely

This is pretty frustrating when you’re paying 25% more for milk and cheese than you did about a year ago and there are people struggling to feed themselves.

ALL THE FARMERS SHOULD TRUCK THIS MILK TO OTTAWA AND DUMP IT ON PARLAMENT HILL (IN MID SUMMER EVEN BETTER)!

No wonder everything is so expensive with this sort of manipulation by the government!

The poor guys going to get blacklisted.
Stay on top of this, and help this guy. Otherwise others won’t expose the systems.

Just like the wheat board. Restrictive to the farmer.

Maxime Bernier has been blowing the whistle on this for years.

Growing up poor, my parents always kept a milk cow. We didnt have a lot of food but we kids drank all the milk we wanted. In my mid 70s, I attribute my good health—bones, teeth, etc—to the milk I drank in my youth. To this day, i still enjoy it. Unfortunately many kids dont get that as it is too expensive at almost $9/bag. It should NEVER be dumped because of govt rules!

How about Toronto gets their acts together and stop voting liberal!

Bernier wanted to dump the supply management system. About half of our dairy farmers are in Quebec. If we discontinued supply management a lot of votes in Quebec would be lost to the party that made the move.
