*When there is no legitimate reason, you need to claim it's secret.* 🙂

"Trust us." After the last seven years of this government's performance, that's going to be a hard no from me.

If Trudeau wants solicitor client privileges, then he better be paying for this out of his own pocket. If we the tax payers are paying for it, then we are the client and have full right to all information.

All I want is accountability. If we don’t have that. There’s nothing left of this place

The fact they cannot give any LEGAL reasons means they did not have one. Period.

This "Government" Keeps saying "Just trust us" We do not trust them at all.

This government has for years yet to act in good faith or within the law. Anyone in a position of authority must be held accountable for their decisions. Transparency is crucial for trust.

*If it was legitimate we all would already know!!* Doing something with legitimacy is easy to proclaim because it's legitimate!! 🙂

The entire point of this inquiry is that it’s written into the EA legislation for the government to PROVE after using it that they had reason to invoke it, so by claiming they can’t share why they felt they had the reasons to justify it, that should just default to the commission assuming they had no solid reason. There’s no room to trust they are acting in good faith - the entire purpose of this inquiry is that it’s on them to prove to all of us that it was justified.

If they have justifiable reason to invoke EA they would share it voluntarily.

You can’t honestly believe that this inquiry will accomplish anything… this government won’t take any responsibility

I loved how during these hearings, Freeland saw her written notes exposed showing that they ''needed to expose these groups as terrorists''. That was a very fun moment to watch.

It is crystal clear from the commisioner's comment that he is going to say that the government acted " in good faith" based on the legal advice given to them. He has just revealed his judgement. He could have demanded that redacted documents be uncovered. He made a choice not to. The ending is clear, if not surprising

In other words they didn’t have any grounds to invoke the EA.

They were just upset that the truckers were standing up to them. Being power motivated they wanted to destroy them as even after towing the trucks massive damage was done to their trucks. Also vandalism

The obvious reason for invoking the EA is Justin's hissy fit. That's it. No one in his inner circle dares to disclose this, because they are all complicit.
