I build a new DIY 3D Mouse. Using a M5StickC with a built in battery, gyroscope and display. I designed a 3d printable joystick for it.

Right now it is just a prototyp. If you want more information just tell ne in the comments.

This is awesome! I've been pondering if I could make a 6+ axis joystick with a 6dof sensor and some other bits. You just showed that it can, and does, work. I mostly wasn't motivated to start, because I wasn't sure that it would be usable. Now I know that it can be. Thank you.

Beautiful!! are you using gyroscope / magnetometer? cause you could probably use the turning on the Z axis for rotating the object, probably using the magnetometer with the north as reference. It looks great and feels like very soft!!
Marvelous!

Is it possible to re route the accelerometer sensor outside the joystick? then you can mount the lcd on the base and just make a simple joystick? I dont know anything about this device so maybe im way off on possibilities

how is this a 3d mouse? its a joystick isnt it? with 'some' extra coding you could maybe make it a 3d mouse with 4/5 axis ...
