Hi back babyshilling!
Glad the vids help. Greetings from Devon (England) to Trinidad.

The same number of electrons enter and leave the resistor each second.

The resistor basically slows down the electrons.

Suppose a single resistor is in series with a battery. The resistance is then doubled, causing the current to be halved. The speeds of ALL the conduction electrons in the circuit are halved: the ones in the battery travel at 1/2 of their original speed; the ones in the wires travel at ½ their original speed and the ones in the resistor travel at ½ of their original speed.

Clear and very informative. Do you think you could possibly do a similar one relating to how you would use ratio to find the value of an unknown resistor in a paralell circuit. Had a circuit given with unknown supply, 13A current branching into 3 resistors (R1 R2 R3) in paralell. Only other values given were 4A going through R1 which was 2Ohms and that R2 was 3ohms. Thanks.

Hi, when a current enters the resistor does it decrease the amount of electrons and we get less electrons comes out of resistor (at the other end) OR it (resistor) decreases the speed of electrons and we get slower electrons coming out from the other end of the resistor?
Please help
