How Do I Seek God's Kingdom and His Righteousness? Matthew 6:33

Righteousness is a free gift given by God through faith in Christ's atoning work. Righteousness is your identity, not an allusive state of existence you reach through performance.

Because you've been given right-standing (righteousness) with God, his spirit now dwells in you. He has also joined his kingdom to you and placed you in it. So when you seek God's kingdom, you first do it by connecting to his presence within you.

You are not righteous because of anything you have done other than surrender to Christ, seeking his kingdom works the same way. God pours out his love for you in your heart so you will be made whole. His grace is his spiritual influence in your inner man to be strengthened and experience the fruits of his spirit. Because of these things, you can experience a connection with the kingdom of God within because God has delivered you from darkness and translated you into his kingdom.

Rest in him, take comfort that his eternal dwelling place is already connected to your inner man, enjoy your identity as a child of God and live a life that brings glory and honor to his name!!

I've been asking God how to do this correctly and having knowledge of this verse. After many years of not seeking because of extreme discouragement over and over and over again, I lost my fervency for God. I felt abandoned and cursed and could not change it no matter what I did. So....I froze in time. Now I'm wanting nothing more than His will and "seeking first his kingdom".

According to the late Dr. Myles Munroe, one of the influential Kingdom teacher in my lifetime, when we have the Holy Spirit in us, we have the Kingdom of God in us. His influence is in us and hence we are Ambassadors of God. We should be influencing the world around us to be like the Kingdom of Heaven, for if we are ambassadors of Heaven, we are it's citizens, then just as Caesar sends a Pontius Pilate to make that area like Rome, we need to influence Earth so it will be lije Heaven. The Kingdom is a government, not a religion, that was why Jesus never was a part of the religious around his time. Jesus brought a Kingdom (a goverment), not a religion. So seek the Kingdom, means seek the governmental influence of The Kingdom of God.

I know this was posted over 6 years ago, but God's Word is alive, active and sharper than a two edged sword, so It’s principals are always applicable for any person in any season of his/her life. This is applicable in my current season as the Holy Spirit has been ministering Matthew 6:33 to me a lot lately. Thank You so much for clarity because I had to do a self-righteous check on myself because in my mind, I thought I was seeking Him and His righteousness. Oh, but this video revealed to me that my definition of righteousness is not God’s. Thank You, Lord, for using this minister to provide me guidance. Minister, continue letting God use you as His vessel.

The Kingdom of God and His Righteousness is..simply..Love and Peace. Jesus said Love your enemies and peacemakers are the children of God. Heaven is Love and Peace.
