No insult to anyone else who sang with Kenny, but Dottie and Kenny had a similar soulfulness in their singing as well as crossover appeal that made them perfectly suited as duet partners. I haven't heard a better match of man and woman on a country music record. I have both the albums they did together on vinyl. Essential.
