Dottie never stopped singing with feeling. Just listen to her sing "Sometimes When We Touch" or the "American Trilogy". She always sang with so much feeling!! I live in Milwaukee and when I was just 13 I loved her singing. I used to buy her records and give them to other people, I told everybody I could about her. Dottie first called me her #1Fan in 1973 and did so all thru the years! I'm mentioned in a book about Dottie written by Monty Wanamaker who was from her hometown, McMinville, Tn. Thanks for remembering one of the greats of country music!!

I love and miss, Dottie, so much. We share the same birthday and she gave me an autograph 8x10 at one of her shows. No one ever dazzled and sparkled as brightly as Dear Dottie. And I’ll say this…Heaven is surely a much prettier place with Dottie there in it! I Love you, Dottie!!! I listen to you every single day! ❤❤❤

I remember that day when it happened. It broke my heart. Doddie is always 💜 loved her. Raised on country sunshine. I just moved to Nashville. Miss her beautiful smile. Rip beautiful lady.

When I saw that Dottie West died at age 58, I assumed that she died of cancer. However, when I looked up how Dottie West died, it said that she died in a car accident 1 month before her 59th birthday.

I met her I believe it was the AstroHall next to the Astrodome. They were having events there at that time and it was then that I saw her perform. Later after the performance she was walking through the Center where I approached for an autograph.
She was all glammed up like she was known for and with a smile she signed a paper and was the nicest person.

Her management staff played games with her finances and she lost everything because of unpaid taxes. Kenny Rogers helped to get back on her feet. Kenny Rogers Gave her a new Chrysler LeBaron and he registered it in his name so the IRS couldn't seize it. She even lived in a condo owned by him.
