Why Did Anakin Cry On Mustafar?

Shortly after Anakin wiped out the Separatist leaders on Mustafar, we see him shed a tear.. but why?

Well thankfully, we have an explanation in both the Novelization of Revenge of the Sith and the Legends novel "The Rise and Fall Of Darth Vader"

The dark side IS emotion, the sith he becomes is the prison made by his self hatred for what he has done and must do

He shed a tear(s) because he was conscious of his actions and how he has destroyed so much "for the greater good". Anything else and you're just reading too much from it.

He cried because he had memories of his mother, Qui-Gon's death, Master Windu death (even he had hatred since he was a child), not having friends his own age, his student leaving beforeshe had a chance to be a Jedi Knight, the younglings being murdered especially the one who called him master even though he wanted to be a master but was denied to & the loss of his arm.
