MP Select Mini Extruder Upgrade to MK8

Easy way to upgrade you MP Select Mini's Extruder Arm to an all metal MK8 Rep Rap extruder.

For anyone doing this mid-2022, I just got a Creality arm from Amazon and didn't use the stock bearing or wheel (used everything from the Creality arm) and no calibration was required! I tested it with gcode and it spat out almost exactly the 100mm I requested - so that makes this a lot easier!

Worked for me! I have the mini V2 and it seems that the motor won't fall into the housing with no screws in it.

Thank you very much! My stock extruder cap just broke into pieces and this seems to provide a durable solution. Just ordered mk8 and bearing. Great!

Thank you for posting your detailed video. One problem I see with this setup is the lack of a guide between the extruder and the tube that goes to the print head. There are iso files for parts to add a guide you can find online, so why not just that while you are doing this work. Also, they do make longer (M3x20) screws that will work if you don't add the guide, but they will need to be (M3x22) if you do add the guide.

Your extruder Bowden connector is a thread type. My Mini it is a captive sort. Yours stock?
