I'm from NY and 37 years old. I remember everyone used to give more value to the Japanese cards. Someone was sending them over because they would come out early compared to the English versions. The thing I will never forget about the base and jungle Era, are all the fakes that were EVERYWHERE in NY. Every gas station had pirated cards. Some of them were indistinguishable from the real cards, unless you ripped them.

i used to collect NBA and Magic the gathering and a bit of pokemon before. I remember keeping only 1st edition of starter pokemons with their evolutions. but when i got engaged to sports and online games, i gave them all to my nephews and nieces not knowing it will be a huge hit in the market. well, i dont regret giving them to my nephews and nieces, at least i made them happy.

Its incredible the prices of these cards.i hope mine one day will cost as much...great opening again rev....fossil is definitely the best of the 3..got some of my favorite pokemon in the set...

Insane Opening! That shadowless pack was crazy with the Venasuar! Not really my favorite set but still has some really cool pulls!
