Honestly the folks behind Cuphead deserve this, they really almost went insane making Cuphead.

In case you didn’t know already, the animation studio is the one who animated the 2013 Mickey Mouse shorts, which I think is a perfect fit for this show.

The little details are incredible. They actually added effects in the background and on the characters to imitate the way that old cartoons looked after production. They added small grain like effects and even made it look like the characters had that dark fuzzy black outline, this effect in old animated movies is because the images were on-top of the background drawing on a separate layer and wasn’t completely flush with the background, so often times this resulted in that fuzzy outline look.

Honestly, this looks pretty good. They actually tried with the artstyle and it works really well.

I've got a great deal of admiration for what these folks have been able to achieve. I remember when the trailer for game was uploaded on their channel and had very little in the way of comments. I mentioned how making a PC version was something I could get behind. They actually replied to me with something along the lines of "And we can get behind a Cacodemon with a top hat!". I'm sure that brief exchange is still there buried under God knows how many comments now. Congratulations Studio MDHR!

Honestly, seeing a entire show dedicated to an indie game is such an incredible feat. Hopefully this’ll live up to the hype and not end up like other video game shows

This looks INCREDIBLE. I watched the making of Cuphead and loved how the artists drew everything by hand and thought "they should make a cartoon series". I am SO excited to see that they actually did and did it justice!

I love that this show made its own version of the game's story, as a way to give it its own identity, and to give something fresh to old and new fans, i feel like that's what game adapted shows or movies should do to be great, make their own story that is never before seen in said games.
