NVC Website Issues with Payment, Message, Saving [National Visa Center, CEAC]

For Green Card cases at the US Embassy, the Consular Processing Step requires uploading Civil and Financial Documents (along with completing Form DS-260) to the National Visa Center (NVC) website for their approval before moving forward. However, the CEAC website has glitches that can frustrate many applicants.

So Martha asks, I've been trying to make payment with the National
Visa Center, but am getting errors, do you know if there is a payment [system]
So this issue with the National Visa Center (NVC), glad you brought this
up. It's a been a big headache for many years really, but
recently A lot of my colleagues have been having this issue.
I haven't had it recentl,y but every computer systems differ
with the NVC, where someone is at the stage of their Green
Card case with their dealing with the Embassy (NVC) and they're uploading
documents to them and to start that phase they have to start
paying some fees, but the fees don't work.
They keep trying to pay it doesn't work.
It used to be as a backup you and mail them a check, but they
don't want you mailing yourself anymore either.
So what you can probably do is go to the Contact Us page for the
National Visa Center and fill it out and say hey, I can'
submit the fees please fix a system or give me guidance on
if I could mail a check or what to do because I can't pay
the fee so I can't get the process started.
Unfortunately,
this is a regular problem that's happening for a lot of people
filing the case, try contacting them to push them to try
to help you out.
So you can move the payment process forward and just
keep re-checking the site, t might reboot and
fix itself on its own but yes, it is a typical issue.
We see with fee payment for the national visa center.
Another problem you're going to find is if you submit documents
the national visa center, once you submit all the documents
and you submit it, they may come back and have a comment
on those and you click on the message box for the national
visa center to read the comment and it won't load you'll
be clicking it.
You'll be on there for 20-30 minutes and nothing will load
and then eventually it'll pop up or just have to do it days
on end until it finally shows the computer system for CEAC.
C-E-A-C, the electronic system for uploading documents and
National visa center, paying them all that kind of stuff.
Unfortunately, it's not a robust system.
It cracks and breaks under the pressure and it's a big headache.
Another problem
you might have with CEAC is that you're filling out the form
DS-260 the application for a green card and it'll all
of a sudden time you out, or you come to save it and it won't save
any loss all the information.
This is most annoying when you're filling out your address
history. So your fill out the address history might have
moved around five or six times when you come to a place next
or save it crashes and it say nothing is saved, and you just want
to get your computer and throw it, break it on the ground.
So that's the kind of situation to deal with and that's what
I deal with every day when you are dealing with Consular Processing,
but be patient, it's not just you.
It's a problem.
That's consistently across the board.

Thank you for making this video. I had no idea that this is a problem that's been happening for years. It is 2024 I am having some of those same issues. When I sign in, sometimes I will get "application error" messages. Then after starting the application, I had the same thing happen when I was filling out the addresses. The system would not save my information and will kick me off. Another thing that happens is that if you click next it sometimes kick you off and it would take days to get back on.

I do notice that when I contact the NVC through online inquiry I do receive a quick response, usually within 24 hours, and the problem is fixed for maybe a day. However, after a day I would go through the same problem again and would have to contact NVC again. It is really frustrating and delays process. There is no excuse. The US government is supposed to have some of the best technology in the world, we should not be struggling to fill out an online application.

I have a deadline to meet next month. They sent me an email stating that I can still send payments by mail, but even though I believe it’s a roadblock.

A year later and it’s still not working. I’ve been trying to submit my fees for 11 days already and still haven’t been able too. I’ve submitted quite a few inquiries about it and still haven’t heard anything. It’s so frustrating. I’ve called, been on hold for 2 1/2 hours only to speak to someone for 4 minutes and having them tell me to try again in 24hrs. It’s been 11 days and still nothing.

I mailed my payment through money order and I sent 2 money order as I have working on my 2 sons paper. The other one was processed but The other one still not. I think they lost my payment I feel like nvc just keeps getting money from people. How do It’s been months and I still don’t get answer from them. Where can I file a complaint on NVC?

Hi! This is our issue for 2 months. We are trying to pay for my spouse fee of $120, after 3 days the payment goes through and on the website it shows PAID. Then after 2 days it will return to PAY NOW. This is so frustrating, though we are trying to work on completing the necessary documents. So that once we again make a payment online and it went through again. We will try to immediately to submit the documents. But if they again, purge the payment. What are we going to do next??? I called NVC about this but they just advise to try and try to make the payment. 😞

Paid IV and AOS FEE on August 3 for wife and kids checked back yesterday and it says pay now for 1 of my sons while my wife and other son payments are still in process state money was taken from the bank account also and reflected NVC IV FEE and NVC AOS FEE. Please advise

I was just provided my case and invoice number but when I sign in the page has no tabs for navigation. There is a small blurb about how the DS 160 form but nothing more. Is this normal? Or should I see the navigational buttons (messages, fees etc)

Case creation letter/Welcome letter: October, 2020
But usually it takes 12-13years to get welcome letter/case creation letter. But why recently almost many people get their case creation later too early??Can you please tell me??
