I am replacing toilet ring for my toto. Installer has flange recessed below ceramic tile, so when i press down, it doesn't seem like toto drain pipe unit doesn't touch wax ring. I tried jumbo wax ring, but it sits about 0.5" inches too high. What would you recommend? I assume that wax must contact top part tightly?

One of the least stable, most leaky methods of toilets on the market. The "universal fit" mounts don't hold the toilet firmly, so the seal is constantly coming undone and leaking. Regular toilet's have solid bolts and direct fittings as hold downs, where these Toto toilets have cheap plastic. Apparently no one at Toto weighs more than 150 lbs. Also: one year warranty, good luck getting someone to respond and deal with it. Most plumbers take one look at these toilets and don't want to deal with them.

Does anyone have an issue with odor? Since we installed the Toto there has been a decline in air quality. We’ve tried washing the bidet seat regularly but that hasn’t helped. Now wondering if the wax ring or the rubber connection under the tank were not installed properly. But then I should be seeing some waste leak from under, I assume.
