How to use manual controls with the Sanyo Xacti camcorders

This video demonstrates how to use the following manual controls with the Sanyo Xacti VPC-CG10 camcorder: manual focus, manual exposure (aperture and shutter speed), manual ISO, white balance and exposure compensation.

Manual control is one of the powerful features that sets the Sanyo Xacti camcorders apart from the Flip-style camcorder competitors and makes it a useful tool for more serious video production.

These instructions are also valid for several other Xacti camcorders, including:
VPC-CG20, VPC-CG21, VPC-CG100.

This video was produced by Paul Riismandel, using a Sony NEX-5 camera. Sound was recorded using an Audio-Technica lavaliere microphone connected to a Zoom H2 Handy Recorder.

Hello. Do you know if there is a way to change manual (exposure, shutter, aperture) settings for CG20?

The audio on this camcorder is quite good and I have used it in a live band situation. It won't replace a dedicated high quality digital recorder, but it's actually better than a lot of camcorders I've used. There's a couple of examples in my videos.

I had not used the camera VPC-CG10 for six months.  The screen is fine, audio is also ok but the lens has some problem because I am unable to take pictures.  Is there anything which I can do in the settings of aperture.  Please guide me if it can be adjusted.  The camera repair persons are not able to do.
