I think it’s important to note that with climate change, we are talking about a warming of over the course of a few decades so you won’t notice it on a daily basis with day to day weather fluctuations. But over time big Heat events will increase and big cold events will decrease. And while one part of the globe would be seeing extreme cold another part of the globe is seeing more extreme and that heat is hotter than that cold is cold so the overall average goes up. So not only is weather not climate, regional isn’t global. While Inofe was holding up that snowball on the Senate floor in the near record cold winter in Feb. 2015 in the East US, the rest of the globe that same month saw it’s hottest February on record (at the time).
