If you are going to glue the joint burnishing with the jig is not good. The pores and cell walls of the wood need to remain open to take the glue into the wood. Burnishing pushes those openings closed and limits glue penetration.
Of course, my caveat is that openings in the wood is the requirement for the optimal glue joint.

Similar to a couple of German machinists in CT. They didn't like the quality of early laser drilled holes. They made hardened, razor-edged inspection guages. With a massive handle, their tech "inspected" every hole. None of the holes ever failed. I didn't ask how many inspection pins they went through.😮

Using old school chslk, white or blue very usefull in the shop, old school yechnique. .

None of its hard just ALOT of patience and attention to details simultaneously across the entire spectrum. Analyze and measure(mentally and physically) how many times you need to and act once. Go little on cuts, work up to where you wanna go and anyone will reach the desired effect(most of the time)
