METHOD FEEDERS FOR BIG CARP

The Method feeder is the go to approach for commercial carp anglers around the world but it's not something you see when targeting bigger carp....why??

I went from match angling to carp. 9 times out of 10 I'm using feeders on my carp rods. It might a bit of a silly technique but if I want to cast a feeder out a fair distance I'll pop the feeder in a PVA bag and get it out before the moisture dissolves the bag.

I went back to the method feeder last year, there is a down side that you catch more tench and bream, however like you said, there is a hell of a lot more action in the swim quickley, if the carp are feeding they take the hook very fast, also i have downsized my hooks to a size 8, still hooking and landing 20plus fish. I have also gonr to an old school bait base, Vitalin dry dog food, mixed with warm water its ready to go when your getting set up, add crumb and pellets, plus flavors like hemp or garlick

Been carp fishing since 89 and started using the mega methods since 2018 I’ve had carp up to 32lb6oz me a mate of mine extensively played around until we got the mixes correct.neither of us would go back love them.especially good in winter!

I started method feeder on the quiver tip then got a carp rod as a second rod still using the method feeder.
Sleeper on alarm whiles watching the tip go round on the other rod, both on a rod pod 😊

I still use the “old” three finned methods feeders and still use the old vitalin dog food as a base. Tight lines.
