I don't know how people can afford all that plastic surgery.

I’m so glad you addressed this !
I also feel too many young adult woman are having procedures they don’t need.

This is sad and frightening. I hope your video brings to light some of the issues.

Japan and Korea has one of the highest plastic surgery rates. In Korea girls get to have plastic surgery as their 16 or 18 birthday gift. I'm so glad to not have been born in these places. Its messed up that young kids get surgery.

I don't know if it's this specific documentary but there's this little Japanese girl who got double eyelid surgery performed by her mother's request. That poor creature had to get the procedure WITHOUT ANY ANESTHESIA. She must've been like 8 years old by the time she got the surgery. She also has a YouTube channel with her mother. I might be reaching here but her mother seems a little bit narcissistic, manipulative and exploiting. An 8 year old child doesn't want or need YouTube fame or plastic surgery. She's just pleasing herself through her child. Makes me question the ethics of the surgeon as well.

I use to not enjoy my nose. And now that im grown I absolutely cannot imagine me doing anything to it. These kids are not giving thier faces time to develope. So that nose that may seem big now or those undeveloped cheekbones that you feel may never come. Its gunna look strange when your face fully develops with all this work done.

As a Japanese American mix that grew up in both countries I’ve noticed a pattern of things that happen in Japan happens in the US a decade later .
There’s a growing number of teens getting surgery here in the US . js .

It's been months since I subscribed in this chanel, and this is the first time I see Garry terrified. And he said twice oh my God, he said it in a rush, like one was not enough.

It's alarming since the body and especially face structures grow in that essential time

My mom had 6 surgeries
1- toes stretching
2- right knee replacement
3- left knee replacement
4- right hip replacement
5- left hip replacement
6- 2 heart valves replacement

Last one took her life 3 days before her discharge, after she caught a hospital acquired infection.
She started with a fever in the morning and by late afternoon she was gone.
I have to get 2, thyroid removal and breast reduction, but even with the plastic surgery I'm still hesitant to get it even if it will improve my life a lot. I'm 44 and still hesitant about that one.

I live in SK and I swear a lot of Korean women look like they wear plastic masks over their natural faces. It’s not even looking pretty or real, it looks scary. They want to look better but end up unhappy every time and become addicted to surgeries. Once I met a woman with 3 eyelid surgeries and she couldn’t close her eyes fully when blinked. I was so uncomfortable I couldn’t look at her face…

This is kind of a consequence of pretty privilege. The power it gives you becomes very tempting.

You look REALLY good here, Doc, and yes, those surgeries are concerning.

It also doesn’t make sense because they will continue to grow and the surgeries could warp their appearance by the time they’re adults

I'm 54, and look 54. If I had the money for a face-lift, I wouldn't get one. It's a great blessing from God to reach my age. Some young folk won't get that chance, with all the crime in the world, with innocent kids being shot to death in schools, at a mall, and even something going wrong during plastic surgery. I can understand a rhinoplasty (if it necessary) but even still, something like that should be done when growth is over (I think that is 19). I treat myself to my home-spa days. I won't go further than a glycolic peel, dermabrasion (I make a paste from crystal powder with facial cleanser), or just plain old facial cleansing and using my actives. Use your money for fun things like cosmetics (I would get excited as a teen to buy makeup), or something kids do for fun (no underage drinking or experimenting/using drugs).

Heavy social pressure is the cause for this, also for the non-stop studying forced on their children. Such a hard working society can have many flaws too like any other society. Sad but real.

I used to work in Tokyo. The obsession for double eyelids in Japan and Korea are crazy. It’s not common, but The parents let their kids getting double eyelids surgery to make them insecure about them looks
