“Mrs Tweedy! The chickens are revolting!”
“Finally something we both agree on”
Miranda Richards’ tone is frigging gold

For a movie about chickens it does have a great score

MAN the moment starting at 0:44 is such a rush!! The lighting, the music, that feeling of "this is it; either we make this happen or we're all dead; no turning back!!" They can't afford to be sneaky anymore, so this is the last chance they have!! Really puts you in there with the characters!!

1:25 Mac and Ginger's expressions. The elation of knowing they really pulled it off and that they were finally going to do the impossible, it's wonderful :)

the beginning of the scene is dark and tragic, while the end is heroic and glorious.

Goddammit, Mr. Tweedy must have been going out of his skull, witnessing poultry assemble a functional airplane from sheds and stolen underwear.

The poor man, the absolute horror in his voice as he realised "Red" was not just the leader, but the mastermind of a plot only possible through human-level intelligence.

These were not chickens.

His farm had fostered monsters.

0:44 First they pull down shed and extract nose gear then flip it over to create a front section.

0:58 Another shed is used to create the rear half then the two sheds are fixed together to form a fuselage.

1:02 A radio mast is pulled down followed by window frames opening up to make tailplanes and Mr Tweedy's underwear is pulled up to create a tailfin, thus forming an empennage.

1:12 A pair of garden lights are rolled down the gravel strip to create a runway with it's own edge lights.

1:17 At the front and off camera, a street sign is used to create a propeller. Thus, making it a single-engine piston turboprop.

At the same time, two retractable wings extend from the fuselage. Using a series of levers and gears, the wings move in the way of a bird.

The result: a majestic, turboprop powered, ornithopter.

P.S. Like many WWII planes, they should give this contraption a name. And I have the perfect one.

I remember seeing this in theaters as a kid and my mind was totally blown when the crate came together.

When the chickens built the plane and were ready to take off to finally escape from the chicken farm reminds me of when the ants built and flew the fake bird to finally get rid off the grasshoppers from A Bug's Life.

I love Mr Tweedy's reaction at 1:05 him seeing the plane being fully constructed. I like to think of it as a look of horror, as now all of his fears have been realised as after seeing that they were smart enough to construct this contraption. He now knows that he was right about the chickens all along. And that is scary to think about.

Just to imagine the horror Mr Tweedy would have endured to see all this unfold. No, he wasn't and isn't seeing things. These stupid chickens are far more organised and sentient than even he suspected. He's a generational chicken farmer, but lets Mrs Tweedy call the shots. Had he run the farm his way, perhaps the way of his ancestors. Maybe life for the hens would have been more bearable and they wouldn't have been trying to escape all the time.
It's satisfying at the end to see that in some small way he does stand up to Mrs Tweedy. "I told you they was organised."

They’ve made one cool looking plane. It’s a shame we have no idea what happened to it in the sequel

They had nothing left to lose but their lives. Chickens were heroines in this film.

The score and cinematography are incredible! I'd hate to imagine this scene with generic music and no cool angles.
