The fact that Oldman can act as a such a good hearted, honest peaceful man as Gordon and as an insane, vile, brutal psychopath in movies like Leon: The Professional and Air Force One, is incredible.

If you look at Harvey's library behind Gordon, the left side is completely organized and the right side is in chaos.

Gary Oldman hands down is the best Jim Gordon ever and looks like he was pulled from the pages of the Batman comics

There's just something about this scene that the DCEU never had. It's the simplicity of it. There's freakin' color, and these characters talk like actual people with so much energy. THIS is the kind of tone I wanted for the DCEU. Dark and gritty, but also mature and adult.

God this movie is just one great scene after another after another after another

Batman: *drops Maroni off a balcony, breaks his legs”
Maroni: *later appears to be walking with a cane”
Gordon: It’s a shame Sal’s going to walk.

Gotta love Gary Oldman as Gordon and Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent/Two-Face.

Gordons "idealist" line always gives me the chills. What a great scene.

There's a wonderful detail that gets overlooked: Harvey Dent is sitting in a comfortable, luxurious chair, while Gordon has to get a simple office chair. It not only plays into the whole contrast that Two-Face as a character generally has going on but it also underlines what Gordon is saying, namely that he has to make due with what he's given, whereas Dent is an idealist who managed to make a career for himself by investigating (and likely prosecuting) corrupt police officers (which is not a bad thing, mind you, but still worth noting). The fact that Gordon evades the topic of Dent's nickname also shows that he does not trust him enough to share the fact that he knows about it with him, meaning that the characters are not being quite honest with each other from the get-go.

I love Eckhardt's Harvey. He's so take-charge and savvy but still genuinely good and just wants to clean shit up.

One of my favorite lines is “save it Gordon, I want to meet him” I don’t know why there’s something about that line that I just like. 🤔

Gary Oldman and Aaron Eckhart were honestly amazing in this film and quite possibly some of the best showcases of Harvey Dent and Jim Gordon.

the backside of Godon (Dent's) bookshelf, the half side of book displays clean, and half side displays random. this imply the Dent is two face. Wow

I kinda love this scene. It gives the vibes of modern city crime genre to the trilogy. It feels like 'Heat' movie

Dent has every reason to take it out on Gordon. He's been warning him from Day 1..

My top three best comic book character castings:
1. J.K. Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson
2. Gary Oldman as Jim Gordon
3. Hugh Jackman as Logan/Wolverine

I always come back to watch this scene because of how ironic & tragic the ending eventually become for the idealist Harvey Dent. It's dark, yet it portrays the harsh reality. Very few movies especially big blockbusters today even have the guts to do the same thing.

You know I didn’t know much about Gary Oldman more than in this movie. I think his performance here was flawless. BUT after watching some of his other movies, especially 'Leon' as Norman Stansfield I THINK IT’S A CRIME HOW UNDERRATED HE IS. WHAT AN ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT ACTOR.
