Today I had a car MoT'd. The mechanic was a Romanian geezer who's lived here for 19 years. He has put his house on the market and is returning to Romania because, as he put it: "This country is f*cked - this town is f*cked: With all the drugs and stabbings, it's too dangerous for my children so I'm taking them back home." (Unfortunately, I haven't got a Romania to go to...)

My 67 year old brother suffered his business failing during the pandemic and losing his home during his divorce that followed those events. He worked all his life and paid taxes but he lives in a room in a house of multiple occupancy and shares a toilet with 5 other men. He will die in that place because my wife and I have a one bedroom flat. These vermin are being given social housing in front of him and it is just plain wrong.
