Feeling overwhelmed or lost on what step to take in life? Unsure what path to take? Wishing post-grad life was a bit more clear? Hopefully this video helps you next time you feel unsure about the direction you are going in. Here are some advice whether you are in the post-grad life or at any stage of your journey

Quote :
“if you see the path fully laid out ahead of you step by step, then you can rest assured it is not your path. YOUR path hasn’t been made yet because you’re creating it now with each new step you take into the unknown.”

The problem is when being lost and unsure makes it nearly impossible for you to focus on your studies and has you constantly thinking about finding more suitable things to do instead...

My bf and I were just talking about this last night! We’re both out of college and not knowing what’s next and what state and what career we’ll end up in is terrifying, but I’m trying to remember that it’s also the ultimate freedom.

I never could have imagined our current apartment. It’s BEYOND my wildest dreams and when we needed a place to live it just fell into our laps!

Yes, I'm lost in my life. I'm 28, single, don't know what I want to do as my job. I feel like I'm stuck.

Speaking of accounting...I quit my job at a Big Four accounting firm a month ago and I'm hoping to be able to work for a company that aligns with my values and is working towards a better world. I have no idea where this path will take me, but I know that the one that I was on was not the one I wanted.

Thank you! Maybe not that big of a thing but i have one year to work and travel in Canada so now im trying to decide if I should stay and spend my summer here where I know I got at least good people at my job but I can only save a limited amount of money, or go out to banff and work there for the summer in order to save more, but take a gample with the work place. Hard to decide while being really broke, dealing with a Corona case and hoping from hostel to hostel. This video helped me calm down a bit.

When I graduated from high school I didn't know where to apply next. My favourite subject was history so I thought I wanted to study history. It took a year to learn that university wasn't my thing and the I applied to study tourism and I have loved it so much! It's so weird to remember how lost I was, not knowing what to study and now I know that tourism and traveling was the obvious choice for me.

I dreamed of going to a particular private college as well but also had a hard time figuring out what I wanted so went into liberal arts. My mom suggested 2 yrs in a community college and then 2 yrs there. I didnt listen and went there and ended up in debt and being dismissed. I went to the community college and got my associate's degree in childhood education. I went on to another 4 yrs college while working as a per diem in schools. Had a lot going on and took a leave of absence from college, racking up more debt. I worked in the city school district for a number of years as a TA. I loved what I did but the environment was so toxic and to the point of dangerous, plus my night PT job to survive on my own. Ended up moving from NY to FL (family there but not close with them now) and now have a receptionist job and have my grandparents living with me due to low FL income and high FL rent. I'm 30 and feel like I've wasted so much time and now thank God I have an essential job with benefits but I don't find it fulfilling plus I sit most of the day which I hate. So feeling stuck and not sure where to go from here or what's my calling or purpose in life is very difficult. I feel like I was never truly sure but going into teaching was an easy way to do something fulfilling and making a difference and dabble into many thing that I like. I wish I knew where to go from here.

Thanks this was really helpful. I am one of those guys that likes to have plans for everything and then backup plans if those plans don't work out. As a result of that, I always find myself worried about what if none of my plans work. But hearing this really put my mind at peace. Trying to enjoy this journey and embrace the destinations life takes me to.

Hello Manuela, maybe in a future video you could talk more about your experience in France. I am actually really curious! Loved this video btw ❤

It's the most beautiful, but also most scary part to not know what comes next.

I applied for this job I'm working in Micronesia on one of the worst days of my life because I just had to "get out" of the situation I was in. Here I am, literally working the dream job I dreamed of having when I was studying at uni that I never would have applied for if I hadn't had that terrible day and the impulse to dramatically change my circumstances. It's setting me on the path to the career I want, so maybe that terrible, awful day was worth it?

Well girl, saying "you have no idea of what lies ahead of you" isn't exactly a useful/tangible piece of advice to someone who's lost, searching to find their way...
