Hi Juliette, thanks for this very informative video. What should the soil moisture meter reading be for ZZ plants?

Nice video. Quick question. Once my plant is watered, should I drain the excess water in my reservoir for the first 3-4 months? I want strong roots and no roots, so wondering if the excess is not a good thing until I'm able to use my reservoir.. Please advise

Hi - thanks for the video. I'm trying to get the watering correct for my Yucca. I have purchased a soil moisture meter and I can see from the video you recommend zone 3/4 - but I can't make out the watering instructions. Unfortunately I'm unable to order with you due to my location, so would you be able to share watering instructions for a Yucca plant? Thanks in advance

When adding water to the selfwateringreservoir untill the indicator is at highest point, wont the roots be wet all the time and exposed to rootrot?

Are self-watering pots generally usable with any plant? I am mostly interested in large and palm-like plants. Yucca, Strelitzia, Pachira, Dracena, Beaucarnea, Ficus, to name a few I have at home.

thank you for all your great tips ! I watched more videos from your channel, you give well explained advices ! I bought one self watering pot for my pothos that is hanging very high on a wall. I was afraid that the soil was too wet with water in the reservoir without being dry before watering it again, but I understood now that the roots will "take" the right amount of water needed, is it right ? thank you .
