Pre-drilling the tread boards is just plain smart business !!!
It allows movement of the tread bored without pulling pressure on the stringers !!
( Wax the screws ;)

Looks good! I personally put some kind of damp membrane or plastic packer underneath the bottom tread/framework so it’s not absorbing the moisture from sitting directly on the ground.

Pre Drill the Deck Boards
is Great work & the Best way
It also Helps with expansion & contraction.

Joining any two bits of Materials together.
So you actually making
a clearance hole
in the Front Decking
Board & then you are screwing & clamping it into the Stringer or back board.

The two pieces of Materials are now joined but
Not fighting each other.
If you did not do this in metal Materials
It would strip the threads out of the backing board & not clamp well.

I love how the drill and impact are on the stairs at attention as if showing off the work they accomplished 😅

Looks good. I think closing them in with the apron is a nice look. Great job.

I'm really not trying to be that guy because it looks acceptable but it's better to cut your stringer skirts to match the stingers and give your kicks and treads a uniform overhang of 1/2"-1". When you're skilled enough and customers can afford a little extra love then you miter your kicks into your stringer skirts. At the least, you want to miter your bottom kick so you don't see the stringer skirts end grain. Also, 4x4s at the bottom of stairs are always the most vulnerable and the first to fail so they should always be installed next to stringers prior to decking and blocked all the way across and behind. Ideally they're set into the concrete pad that the stringers sit on. Obviously that's not an option with that patio so blocking is necessary. It's better to tread from bottom to top so you can send all your screws straight for the plugs to sit right because that's impossible if the screws aren't perfectly straight. There's specific drill bits designed to make sure the screws are set at the proper depth for the plugs, they come with the box of screws so I don't know why you wouldn't be using one. Still looks good, keep at it.

Did you add blocking to the last stick for the railing post support? Legit question im going to be doing mine soon. And trying to figure out a work around to get rid of the wood post that's exposed on the outside of the stringers

i like this look, did you use a 2x12 for stringer? i’ve heard people say the timbertech fascia isn’t wide enough to keep sides on the stringers so they scribe it to the rise and run but i like this look

Looks perfect.

How many screws.per board?

I saw you put two on each stringer joist. But looks like 3 might be better.

Also, why not put adhesive on the treads?
Prevents squeaks later on

Silly question, but I’m about to tackle this very job, and I don’t have a table saw. Did you use the circular saw rip fence attachment to cut the pvc to size?

What width skirt boards did you use on the outside stringers? I’m building steps and the side of the step is exposed because the 12” skirt board doesn’t cover up. The skirt I’m using is trex and it’s 11 1/4” wide.

Looks good but I prefer to cut the PVC to match the stringer and picture frame your treads and leave an overhang on both sides and the front

Love your work, do you think water will retain on the screw heads?

Do the caps that hide the screws work on these steps? Our home builder used timbertech on our pack patio, but the steps look hideous because of all the screws showing, some sunk too low, some sticking out, boards pulling up, etc

If you take a good grade adhesive and spread it on all of the ingrain of the stringers you will eliminate dryrot.
