Fun fact Nedry is a secondary antagonist in the novel and didn’t steal the embryos out of greed instead he did it because ingen was blackmailing him

He’s not greedy he’s being grossly underpaid. When he bid on the job they left out a lot of information and now they expect him to do more than he was originally led to believe was the job. Hammond was greedy and cut every corner he could cut

Okay so they definitely did not do this as the book by Michael Crichton, nor was it written in the movie’s released between 1993 and 2001. The 2015 sequels were amazing until the last where they ran out of ideas and said “let’s throw the original cast into this movie to cover up for the fact that we have absolutely nothing left”

Greedy fat man? Nedry didnt do what he did because he was greedy he betrayed Hammond because he was being ripped off ans blackmailed Im guessing soneone has never read the books

He isn't really that greedy John Hammond is the real villian as throughout the movie until you see him talk to dennis John quotes we spared no expense on everything except of course for his employees the ones that actually control it all

In the novel by Michael Crichton it's the founder John Hammond who is the villain. The book is way darker than the movie.

Nerdy didn’t do it for profit; he did it out of principle.

Hammond took advantage of and severely underpaid Nedry, being the only man capable of maintaining the parks automation system.

Read the book, Nedry was overworked and underpaid. It was Hammond’s hubris that destroyed the park thinking he could contain anything within.

You can still use this as an allegory for the how Universal waste their animators and CGI artists by overworking and underpaying them.

Jurassic Park 1 was the only one that had a dark tone to it.

The other two Jurassic Park movies, JP2, and yes even JP3, aren’t horrible, still having some passion in them. Jurassic World was better than 3 and on par with JP2, and at least was self aware of how it looks like a cash grab, and was a fun movie. They got way too greedy, along with feeling high and mighty during JW2 and Dominion. They lost the plot, forgot the Dinos, and tragically forgot the best phrase by Ian Malcom, “you got too busy proving whether or not that you could do, you didn’t stop and think about whether or not you should.”

Actually, Nedry was planning on coming right back and to continue working on the park, he was just going to sell a few embryos cause Hammond wasn't paying him well
