I am so glad to find your channel. You are so much closer to the average home Gardner and I have learned so much. Plus side, we are the same zone. I am binge watching and because of you now I understand how to fall plant by growing things by seed. Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge. Please continue the videos of what you are planting each month.

If I didn’t know better, it looked like you were making pans of brownies. 6b. Go Huskies.

Looked for Cool Flowers book a few places online. One on eBay for $299.95! 😳 Nothing on Amazon or Half Prince Books. Will keep looking. 😀 Thanks for the planting info. Agree Dallas Garden School is very helpful and interesting! I didn’t realize bee balm is an annual. I wonder if it will survive the winter inside and return? I bought 2 this spring so I hope so. Appreciate the video!

Will you transplant these into raised beds to overwinter? I'm also in your zone.

Amanda, Did the big rain cause you or your family any problems? The problems in Austin were the predictable low spots, but the rain came at rush hour and caused traffic snarls.
We are buying a house in a retirement village in Greenville SC and moving at the beginning of November, which will interfere with starting hardy annuals now.

I’m in zone 10a. I thought about getting that book but I really don’t get “cold” weather so I don’t know if it would be a good book for me. Can you tell me if they talk about hot zone in it?

Loved this video. I’m going to try my hand at the cool flower method this year 🤞🌱

I am in zone 4 so hardy annuals don't survive the winter, however, I have some biennials that grow leaves in late summer through fall and then bloom the next year: silver dollar plant (lunaria), forget-me-nots. Evening primrose and beebalm will start new offshoots the previous year to blooming.
