Kobe Bryant - Postup Powerhouse 15/16

Kobe Bryant is as proficient at posting up as anyone has ever been. That’s not a secret. It’s not a stretch to say that everyone in the NBA knows about Kobe’s prowess in the post. Either they’ve been competing against him for years, or they grew up watching him. That being said, I wanted to take a look at exactly how he was able to still get it done in this, his final season. Once again, these are all just from his 20th year in the league. It’s not comprehensive either, but I wanted to make sure that I had a little something of a tribute to one of the most lethal weapons Kobe had in his arsenal.

The blog is a work in progress, and I’m still trying to figure things out about it, but it’s something I thought I’d give a try as a way of expanding horizons.

A lot of people don't know or fail to realize that kobe was actually a power house. He was definitely one of the stronger payers in the NBA. Matt Barnes, Mikael pietrus, Paul Pierce, went on record in the past saying they couldn't guard him one on one because of his strength speed and skill. He did also back LBJ and Melo down in the paint. That should speak loud enough as a testament of how strong he was on top of his untouchable footwork.

There will be no another kobe Bryant again.. Thank you kobe for displaying the true beauty of basketball, like no one ever done.

A handful of Jordan +A dash of Hakeem+ a pinch of Garnett + a teaspoon of Dirk= Kobe's post moves

kobe has mastered every fade you can think of, even added some of his own moves.

It’s unreal. Kobe isn’t the most explosive in terms of blowing by defenders due to quickness, but he’s damn smooth in being able to squeeze through the tiniest spaces. And that mid range RIP GOAT!

Damn.. Look at that self proclaimed king being schooled by a past-prime, retiring Legend.. This is what separates Kobe from todays players.. he's just one of a kind..

This guy could change the arc on his shot depending on the circumstance and still sink it.. mind blown.

His post game is better than most big men

It's beautiful in a way how Kobe sometimes looks exactly like Jordan on the Wizards, long after prime years have ended, lacking the athleticism, and yet still so strong and fundamentally sound with the footwork, not to mention great ball fakes, head fakes, etc.

came to this vid after watching "hakeem teaches kobe" vid (2014). the moves in this vid are exactly what hakeem was teaching kobe. Hakeem would be proud and much props to kobe. Though many don't like him, but you must respect him for his relentless pursuit to be the student of the game, even if means reach out to past greats. NBA kids these day, too much pride and ego to ask the OGs for tips anymore, shame.

Despite his negatives in his final season of his career, Kobe is still so beautiful to watch.

I guess Kobe has the biggest offensive arsenal in the history of the nba, he has so many moves and counter moves

RIP Kobe. Forever in our hearts. The best post up game ever for a guard / forward. Just crazy footwork and basketball IQ. None of that flashy non-sense. Old school hard working basketball.

kobe got the moves that mj had mastered it and made it even better but you ever imagine if he had the big hands like mj...he would be unstoppable. ..

The turnaround fadeaway is such a thing of beauty but at the same time takes a toll on your legs over time
