Oh please we all know that the engineer of Rainbow left and took everything with them and founded Hyla. Hyla is the best.

Why don't they use the newest HYLA like they did the Rainbow! instead they took a old Hyla vs new rainbow! I've sold Rainbows for 12 years and now I sale HYLA's! HYLA is the best! And my company did the same thing except we used new Rainbow vs New HYLA There is NO comparison besides Rainbow has a stinky filter that grows mold The HYLA don't need a filter because the water does capture everything unlike the smelly Rainbow!

I did not see what they were doing. Pointless video.

That looks like a newer rainbow vs an older HYLA (EST), which came out back in 07. That's like apples to oranges man. Lets be honest.

My main complaint is that the water containers and, in particular, the air outlets in both devices have a different operating philosophy. In Hyla, the intake air outlet is completely and tightly under water, which means that sucking water out of it is easy, as in the video, all you need is the appropriate vacuum pressure. In the case of Rainbow, the outlet of the sucked air is not under water, this approach is sufficient for vacuuming, but in a test such as yours, sucking out water is technically impossible even with many times stronger suction, because the sucked air simply does not pass through the water. Moreover, there is no water in Rainbow as well...

Hyla suckling air and rainbow suckling from the water. Not a fair test. Hyla better in every aspect. Class 2 medical devise.

I just bought what looks to be the same Hyla at my local thrift store for only $34 and it was complete like it had everything

Rolf Rainbow should need more suction because it has an hepa filter while Hyla doesn't need any just water.

Yes let’s use the electric hose for the water test lol!!! Should have used the non electric hose for wet messes. Glad no one got shocked. But cool test

why not do it in the other way too and then conclude. Check and set same conditions for testing or run two tests alternating empty-water, runnig for the same period of time and messure water levels at the end.

This is not fair! You used a new Black Diamond Rainbow against a very old Hyla! Get them both new so you get the real results! It's like testing an old car against a brand new one.

Only the uninformed believe a rainbow outmatched the hyla. Hence the likes and dislikes.

so the Hyla uses the rainbows old motor patent rainbow let it expire and Hyla grabbed it up. the new rainbow motor is brushless and turns over 7000 more rpm not to mention not all dust particulates can be wet buy water some will bounce off the water and go into the air that's why in 1997 the rainbow added a hepa filter making it the only vaccume that is a certified air purifier the Hyla only filter is water so small particulate of dust asbestos depending on the age of your home blow into the air.

you are crazy rainbow is crap as time gose bye the metal fans inside start to get mold limescale dust and mineral deposits on them and dust inside houseing if moisture gets inside the housing it will short the computer bored out it is $400 rainbow will not tell you that they have to be taken apart and clean this takes 3 hours to service need to be done every 3 years with mag wheel Edgeing acid for cars you ever take one apart you will be disgusted there are very filthy machine that dose not do what says that's why they put a filter on the back of them hyla works I own one I have a Miele anything German is great rainbow is shipped in a box from China and put together here . rainbows have several lawsuits over the years and if you can't afford hyla buy a Miele they have a 9 ply HEPA cloth bag and if you're still interested in the rainbow ask representative sales person ever get any Mele for trade in he or she that represents rainbow will say they rarely get one that's because people hold onto miele they work like I said if it ain't German made vacuum don't buy it not only that miele invented the worlds first washing machine they also invented the world's first vacuum cleaner it was not Hoover I know my stuff I used to service vacuums stay away from rainbow all the parts for German vacuums are made in Germany and put together in Germany and when comes to shampoo and carpet use a Kirby dry foam carpet shampooer is great they are very old company thats been around long as miele high quality products like Miele and German made also the reason they started putting filter on Rainbow because they found out it truly didn't trap the Dust . hyla does not need a hepa filter
