There are no such thing as malaysian rendang. There are only Indonesian rendang that being sold in malaysia

Malaysia and Indonesia have been in a rendang war for quite a while now. Both claimed the authenticity rights. I’m a Singaporean, and Singapore is a land of migrants since our forefathers. So, Although we too have rendang but we know it was introduced to us by Indonesian traders or immigrants back then. Rendang is a true Javanese and Minang dish.
