Cass Elliot's reaction of "WOW!" is something special. Cass was one of the leading entertainers in the world when this concert was held. And for her to be in awe of Janis' raw talent is a huge statement. She had every right to be in awe. As astonishingly talented that Cass Elliot was, she was not in Janis' league.

That lady in the crowd your referring to is Cass Elliot formerly of the Mamas and Papas band. She was one of the best to ever do it beside the great Janis. She passed away in 1975 due to heart failure 💔😔

Janis was an awesome singer who stood all by herself as a talent. She had an amazing raspy voice. She had her backup band Big Brother which were awesome also. She put her heart and soul into her singing with a lot of soul. RIP

I was young when I first heard her sing. My brother went to see her and brought her album home.I was only 14 when she died and I cried and I'm crying now...50 years later.
