Day 11/80 KOREA: I tried making Bibimbap 🇰🇷

Today I tried making Bibimbap with whatever I had at home. #bibimbap #korea #koreanfood

Ingredients
⁃ 1 cup of cooked rice
⁃ 1/2 a carrot, grated
⁃ 1/2 a cucumber, grated
⁃ 2 red chillies, sliced
⁃ leftover stir fried chicken and capsicum
⁃ 2 tbsp of Gochujang
⁃ 2 tsp of white vinegar
⁃ 1 fried egg

Method
1. Add rice to a bowl
2. Top with carrot, cucumber, chillies, stir fried chicken and capsicum and a fried egg
3. Mix the Gochujang and vinegar to make the sauce
4. Drizzle the sauce over the bowl and mix everything
5. Enjoy!

I suggest you to have it with sushi rice instead of basmati, and looked for korean chili paste you’ll find it asian market. Toasted sesame and sesame oil is essential

There's no wrong here. Bibimbap is actually mixing rice. The essence of bibimbap is to combine any ingredients readily available and make a hearty meal. You can pick what you want to put on it etc, suitable to your palette. I don't like sesame oil and prefer sesame seed. The rice is actually the key ingredients. Since "bap" in bibimbap means "rice." Tho, I can't eat bibimbap without kimchi. For me it's the heart of every meal 😂

Shame atleast they tried, if you dont live in korea the ingredients are either hella expensive or hard to find😂

wrong rice. try using sushi or jasmine rice next time, it makes all the different. basmati doesnt really go with it. gj tho

Try making lazy chicken adobo next. In a pot, put chicken drumsticks, 4 cloves garlic, chopped onion, whole peppercorns, 3 bay leaves, cane vinegar, and soy sauce. Simmer until the chicken is cooked. Serve over hot jasmine rice.

I love bibimbap but here in my country at my place certain authentic Korean ingredients are not available or they are very expensive so I enjoy it with simple ingredients too❤ but it really is tasty and healthy

If the gochujang is liquid like that it ain't gochujang. Get some short grain rice, real gochujang and sesame oil. Bibimbap is one of the best things ever when done correctly.

bibimbap with basmati isn't a bad idea. I make basmati Kimchi fried rice all the time....

Try making it again. This time use real kochujang and sesame oil. It’s fine if you don’t have the korean rice but you should try making the favor as close as the original. Keep it up 👍

Fry together is friedrice, keep separate and serve is bibimbap😂😂
