Several killed in Russian missile assault on Kyiv

A predawn Russian missile strike on Kyiv Thursday left several people dead, including a 9-year-old girl. The attack comes as Ukrainian forces are keeping Russia guessing about their looming counteroffensive. Debora Patta reports.

I don't support any side in a war.

I didn't know too much so decided to Google search it a week ago. It turns out that Ukraine tried to force people in East Ukraine to make it mandatory to do business in Ukrainian and refused to give the Russian language and customs a protected status. This has been going on long before the invasion.

As it stands now, it is illegal for Russian people to produce media like books and music in Ukraine.

Ukraine makes exceptions for minority languages which are EU official languages, but gives no exception for Russian, Belarusian, or Yiddish (Jews).

It is fair to say that Ukraine is persecuting minorities in their own country, similarly to the fascism that we seen less than 100 year ago.
