School's Out! We got no choice girls and boys. Turn it up and let's make some noise!

About Alice Cooper:
Alice Cooper pioneered a grandly theatrical brand of hard rock that was designed to shock. Drawing equally from horror movies, vaudeville, and garage rock, the group created a stage show that featured electric chairs, guillotines, fake blood and boa constrictors. He continues to tour regularly, performing shows worldwide with the dark and horror-themed theatrics that he’s best known for.

Still one of the greatest songs ever; it always brings back feelings of youth and rebellion, no matter how many times you hear it and how many years you spend rehearing it!

I remember when this came out in the summer of 1972. I was only 3 years old and yes I do remember it! Radio stations were still playing this in '73, '74, and '75, then I didn't hear it again on the radio until the early 1990s. This is a Rock Anthem to me

They burned this up on the radio in the 70s and still do around the end of the school year. Truly an all time pop culture greatest hit. The BDB kickin' it. Along with the Gospel of Cooper. (I've seen Michael Bruce say he mostly wrote it) No matter, It's magic!!

My very favorite of all time, from Ezrin’s slept on flawless production - the build, the bridge and the release - the final 1:20 runout after “no more pencils” is sheer perfection - you hear every instrument every channel all coagulated into one sound all seemingly turned up to 11

Glen Buxton’s Hornet's drivin’ solos were of the best ever, in my humble opinion!

My daughter many years ago was playing a version done by someone else. I asked who it was and she answered and followed up with "You didn't have music like this when you were growing up. I laughed at her and told her I had met them in Denver when they were doing the Billion Dollar Babies tour. Michael Bruce was the one who got me into the party. Really a nice guy. That allowed me to move on to the fact that I spent an evening with the guy who wrote most of the ones that became anthems. Vince wasn't in there for a good but and when he arrived he and Shep Gordon were talking so I didn't even approach. They were one hell of a band. Still see them whenever I get the chance.

Can I just say I am 25 years old and I consider you one of the best rock and roll singers of all time. I grew up listening to you and watching recordings of your concerts my dad had gotten from the times he saw you. I saw you a few years back when you came to Colorado and was beyond impressed! It was exactly like the movie my dad had shown me when I was little right down to getting your head cut off on stage!! You probably won’t read this which is no big I just wanted to let you know how amazing you are.

Man, my juvenile delinquent step brother and myself would listen to this song and album over and over and over...this was in the late '70s early '80s. Not saying I wasn't responsible for plenty of delinquent, destructive behavior as a teenager, but my evil stepbrother literally made a career of it. He was actually in prison on and off most of his life...I'm betting he spent more of his life locked up than free. At least I did have some good memories with him back when we were teenagers, but I steered clear of him in my late teens, early twenties...well and the rest of his life actually. We did LOVE this song though (and I still do), and would play it endlessly.

I debate which one of the early Cooper albums are my fav... Everyone loves Killer. I'm partial to School's Out. Love it to Death is my why didn't the Bond ppl use Golden Gun as sound track? It would've been monumental lol??!

What an amazing very talented rock band..these
guys blasted into the music world of rock n roll
with well written, composed and played songs that
were so good one could say that a few of them
became rock n roll classics..schools out..no more
mr nice guy..elected..and a slower song that climbed
the charts..only women bleed..a great song with so
much emotion and sad truth about the plight of many
women with a jerk for boyfriend or husband..one of my
favorites is the cool rock song, public animal #9...they
sure did make a big splash...thanks for posting this
