Показать описание
Are you curious about ballet but don't know where to start? Join me in my absolute beginner class and discover the magical world of dance! In this class, we will cover the fundamentals of ballet, including positions of the arms, feet, movements, and terminology. Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to refresh your skills, this class is the perfect introduction to ballet.
Terms covered:
1. Plie: A plié is a movement where the knees are bent while keeping the heels on the ground. It's a basic exercise that helps to develop strength in the legs, improve posture, and increase flexibility. There are two types of plié in ballet: demi-plié (half-bend) and grand plié (full-bend).
2. Tendu: Tendu means "stretched" in French. It's a movement where the foot is extended and pointed away from the body while keeping the supporting leg straight. The goal is to keep the foot in contact with the floor throughout the movement. Tendu is a fundamental exercise that helps to develop strength, flexibility, and precision in footwork.
3. Degage: Dégage means "disengage" in French. It's a movement where the foot is lifted off the floor and pointed in the air, then brought back down to the floor. It's similar to tendu, but the foot is lifted higher and with more energy. Dégage helps to improve footwork, strengthen the legs, and develop speed and precision in movement.
4. En croix is a term used in ballet to describe a movement that is done in the shape of a cross. It involves four steps in four directions, starting with one foot and then repeating the sequence with the other foot. The four directions are front, side, back, and side again, and the movement is typically done with the arms in a graceful, flowing motion. En croix is often used as a warm-up exercise to prepare the body for more complex movements and to improve coordination and balance.
