You chose well!! When you have a well-defined back and shoulders certain styles are just not very flattering. I have broad shoulders too. During the 80's, when the shoulder pad craze was so big, I had to remove those pesky pads from any top or dress that I purchased. Otherwise I would have looked like I had Frankenstein's Monster

my love, i promise it’s just the way that you’re standing! if you correct your posture, you’ll have a snatched hourglass no doubt. your shoulder blades are protruding lower down so it means your shoulders are just rolled forward. if you work on consciously rolling them back while you’re walking around on a day-to-day basis, the way you carry yourself improves naturally over time! you’re gorgeous in all of these dresses no matter what 🥰
