I always get some very thin/almost watery super glue and outline the stitching with tape to seal it so they won't rip out as easily and it won't look super ugly.

Put hot glue or shoe goo over the stitching on ollie patches

Wear a size that gives your toes enough room to move good to tight wears the shoes out faster because your foot is pushing harder on the shoe making the friction on the grip go up

You should try using the black urethane used o install windshields in cars. It’s soft like gum soles and durable.
