8:18 the thing that always stands out to me in scenes like this, and the maine governor one, and when reporter Sam Husseini was dragged out of Blinken's press conference, and so on, is how other people do nothing. one of the most important factors when preparing the soil for fascism is the erosion of solidarity, and that has clearly been achieved in the US. people literally won't stand up for their fellow citizens in any meaningful way.
