Fire is burning and the woods are cracking. The river flows below and everyone is looking outside the window. Your covers bring memories to people, it makes them think about life. To me Hans Zimmer is one of the greatest composers of our time when it comes to channeling emotions. You were able to express these emotions, usually expressed by a whole orchestra, with one instrument only. It sounds so natural, as if this has always been the original version.

It’s crazy I made a comment 5 days ago about how this video gives me goosebumps... but just two days ago I had a heart attack at just 36 yrs old. Now I’m back watching the video and I’m just in tears. So thankful to still be around and have more Time. 😭

Time can hit every note of emotion that humans can feel. Joy. Mourning. Anger. Hatred. Jealousy. Longing. Pain. And everything in between. This composition is superfluous and the way that you play it, absolutely stunning.
I have two best friends that I grew up with through my teen years. We have been inseparable since we met and last year one of them was diagnosed with lung cancer at the young age of 22.. I remember watching this video from time to time as he went through his treatments, not knowing if he would make it through the next one.. Tears would well up in my eyes, and pain would flood into my chest as I thought about the time we might have left, and how we may not be capable of doing the things we all promised each other years ago.
After the most difficult period of time in my life, and many days feeling guilty for fleeting moments of happiness as he lay there in a treatment center.. The tumors vanished, and my nightmare was over. We had more time.
I write this now as I watch this for the first time since the tumors disappeared, and I’m still crying.
This time, I cry out of joy.
Time is precious people. You always think you have more time until it’s about to run out. Love fearlessly, don’t wait, make the plans now. Be in the moment and value every second you have with the ones you love.
Life is strange and unpredictable. Value the beauty in each moment, before it becomes a memory.
