Just to clarify to everyone watching this video, he is not cutting the valve cap off, he is very slowly grinding the side of the valve cap until he can see the threads. You need to be very careful not to mess up the thread on the valve step itself, once you grind down to the thread you might then be able to twist off the cap. I was also told you can try heating the steps and that will break the corrosion. I tried the heating process but it did not work on mine and I was too unsure of myself to do the grinding method. I ended up taking my truck to a tire shop and they just cut off the stems and replaced them on all four tires. Luckily for me it was only around $40 for all four tires. There needs to be a class action suit against the people who make these pathetic products. Just think about someone being miles from home, maybe in the middle of nowhere and they need to put air in their tires but they can't because they can't get these stupid valve stem caps off. How utterly stupid are these products?

I panicked when i found that my "aluminum" valve stem caps had corroded on to the valve stems. I used a hacksaw and cut, very carefully the valve cap lengthwise until I the saw blade just cut all the way through the valve cap body without damaging the valve stem threads. Then I used a flat head screwdriver to pry open the valve cap and finally remove it. Finally I went inside and ordered a pack of 50 "plastic" valve stem caps. It took me probably 15 to 20 minutes per wheel. Yes, all four were frozen!
