this is literally just an improvement on my old version that I posted, I was doing some improv-ing on my acoustic a couple days ago and it made me want to remaster this, I hope you enjoy it! credits below.

A long time ago, a human fell into Darkness.
Injured by everything that happened to the human, he finally realized....
In a world where there is Light, there is Darkness.
So the human turned to the Darkness for help.
Doing so, he lost his smile, his Imagination.
He named himself “The Shadow”.

He acted very differently later on his life.
He made people cry, and made people sad.
To the human, it made him happy.
But when someone made fun of him, he’ll grow angry.
He’ll lash out at people and hurt them, naming that part of him “Temper”.
One day.
One day.

He met someone.
It was like looking at the Light again, bringing happiness wherever she went.
He felt something.
He felt Happiness.

But the Darkness did not like this.
The Darkness wanted Temper to stop the human.
But he refused.
So the Darkness made the human feel sad.
One day.
One day.

The human became sick.
He had to stay at the hospital for 3 days.
He became very sad.
But Temper did not give up.
He told the human to draw.
So the human started drawing the Light he saw.
He was very happy drawing.

The 2nd day, he was thinking of what to draw.
Then his imagination reappeared, naming her “8”
The Darkness became furious.
The Darkness tried to fill his mind with thoughts of Death.
But Temper and 8 refused to let him think of such things.

Then one day.
The human became friends with the Light.
He named her “Morning” or “A.M.”.
The Darkness still dwells within the human.
But the human won’t let the Darkness hurt anyone.
The human named himself “Temper”.
After seeing his friends.

His smile reappeared.
And Temper was happy....

Here's my overdramatic interpretation of Asriel and Chara's final moments:

Asriel: *gently places Chara's body down and stumbles towards Home* Huff... Huff... Huff... Hah... *thud*
Chara... I... I can't...I can't move... Chara... It hurts... Everything...hurts.
Chara: ...
Asriel: Chara. I'm...sorry. *sniff* I couldn't do it... I couldn't kill them... I just couldn't... It's all my fault. It's all m-my fault! You gave up everything, and...all I did was screw it up! *crying* We could've saved everyone if it...werent...for me... I really am just a...stupid...crybaby... *sniff*
Chara: Asriel...
Asriel: ...Cha...ra?
Chara: It's not your fault, Asriel...
Asriel: Of...course it...is... I-
Chara: Don't you...see, now? What I...(AGHH)...told you? Humans are disgusting... Cruel... Heartless... And yet...you still showed mercy... Monsters...are too...good to exist in the same world as them. You're too good t...to call me family... I'm despicable trash...just like them....
Asriel: THAT'S (ACK!) NOT...TRUE!!! You're PROOF that humans are good!!! I ...just...KNOW it... *COUGH* *COUGH*
Chara: 0.0 ...!? Hm. *small smile* You always were...too nice to me.
Asriel: *slowly smiles* Of course... You're my... best... My...best...
Chara: Asriel...
Asriel: Chara. You're my best friend. *breath fades*
Chara: ....No....No... Why? Good people like you don't deserve this!!! *few seconds of silence* But, that's just how it works, isn't it?
*soul grows fainter* In this world, it's... *soul cracks* K I L L O R B E K I L L E D (GASP) *soul shatters and Asriel's body crumbles to dust, leaving nothing but silence and a few small monsters in the distance, too petrified to move*

I can not believe that i have not played this game until 2020... this instantly made my top 3 games list, there is not one bad thing about this game and it was perfectly made. This remix just makes me feel something that I cant even explain

I came back, probably 2 years after listening to this track. Was about to write a different comment, but then I noticed something.. off..
Last time I came here, I missed the Like button. I have reason to believe it was the onions that the onion ninja was cutting up.

Undertale is a game with the most heartfelt story I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing.
I can't imagine a world where Toby Fox hadn't created such a masterpiece of a beautiful game.
It's not a world I would want to live in, that's for sure.

It has moments of joy, despair, fear, excitement, embarrassment, surprise, and adrenaline.
The story can make even the most mentally sturdy of people emotionally effected.
The music is also amazing, and fits every scene perfectly. It only amplifies the experience of the game.

Toby Fox, I would like to thank you on the behalf of every undertale player. Without the hard work you put into your game, we never would have experienced such a heartouching story. It's all thanks to you that such a masterpiece can exist. And we appreciate that.
