I've only been an emt for a year now! I wish I had volunteered in the beginning! This is great advice! I'm currently doing IFT, but I would love to go to 911! I've been using my IFT job to gain experience and work on my basic skills. For the most part all you do is vitals, but it's a great way to work on your pt assessment and your bed side manner!
