I would recommend knitting fewer newborns. You will be shocked at how quick a newborn grows. I knitted several different sizes, and I am so glad I did. Enjoy to knitting time now.

Your podcast is already one of my favorites! I'm from northern Finland and since we have sweater weather basically all year I dress my 4-yearold son in knits all the time. I must say, superwash is a good option but I've still lost some handmade garments to poop explosions when he was a baby :D
Already looking forward to your next episode! With love, Terhi

I'm due with my first daughter in November. Tin Can Knits is my go-to for baby knits.

I love your podcast Carson! Your whole esthetic, your sweet personality, and your knits! Congratulations on your pregnancy too, it will be so fun to watch you become a Mama. You're a good knitter to make for your son and your hubby! I know how hard it is to focus on a gift knit when you really want to knit ALL the things for yourself. A true knitter always has a zillion wips happening at the same time. That's what we do, right? :)

Welcome back to Texas. Texas Yarn Crawl is soon… you should check out all the LYS Nearby (may be a little trip from Beaumont, but well worth it for Local Yarn Stores!)

Those baby socks are so adorable! I'm from Austin originally but now I'm in the UK. When I visit, I love The Knitting Cup too, it's soooo cute! Also, next time you are in Austin you have to check out Hill Country Weavers, they are incredible!

I'm currently knitting the Ollie's Bear Hat pattern and I'm pretty sure you were completely right with what you did with the provisional cast on - as I understand the pattern you take out the contrast string and knit the released stitches together with the active stitches on your needles (which I believe is what you're saying you did). Anyway, I love the podcast - it's fast become a favourite :)

Love your channel! I had a baby boy last month and the tiny knits are so much fun. Might be worth a try in December; working a big chunk of stockinette stitch totally helped me relax through contractions.

I have never kept a provisional cast on in my knitting yet so that would have totally surprised me too! The hat is so adorable!

I started the kuutar sweater a few months back & that lacework is but so so beautiful, I literally lost a whole row because my cord came off the needles & messed up a row & because it was lace I have to frog it I will try that one again one day 😂 I always have a sweater project on my needles as well!

Love your scarf. I got the pattern. I like the baby socks too. Good for future baby showers. I have so many wips I need to get done but it is still fun to start new things.

I love that you started a cold weather prayer circle 😆 just moved to AZ from CO, so same boat! I’m intrigued on how my knitting will change. Also, lambswool is specifically a sheep’s very first shear—you’re right that wool is already a sheep, they just don’t get sheared when they’re real young, so that first shear is special 🥰 I’m loving your podcast!

So glad I found your podcast! I love all the yarn colors you are working with right now and I may or may not have added the Penelope kerchief to my knitting queue 😂
