I was just given a 89 stingray ss with a 3.0 merc by my dad. minor leak from the forward starboard side frost plug. I have an issue with the trim tilt also. other than that shes ready to rock... I hope. I appreciate the tips!!

The mechanic just informed me my freeze plug behind my timing belt sprung a leak which is probably the reason for the milky oil, as well as the appearance of coolant pouring down & around the water pump, which led me to believe the water pump was leaking. Was a bit strange since the water pump has just 20K miles on it. I wish it was a freeze plug behind the exhaust manifold, which I just had off last week.

We call them Welch plugs in Australia, only thing we have that's freezing here is a freezer xD

Probably a dumb question but how long do you have to wait for sealant to work or can you drive as soon as it's installed?
