The Yamaha VMAX is the most powerful cruiser motorcycle ever! Sean takes a ride on a 2017 Yamaha VMAX and is blown away at how powerful the bike is. With 200hp the Yamaha VMAX packs a huge punch!

This is one of the fastest bikes ever produced...and you need one!

Are you looking for a touring bike, but still have the sport bike itch?

A lot of people don't know that this is a Hayabusa Powered Street Fighter!

When these came out, you had to pay cash (in San Diego anyway) you couldn't get a loan because they said you'd be dead before the year was out.

Wish me luck everyone! I've been working my ass off these last 5 months to save up 6000 to put down on a 2020 Yamaha Vmax. Submitting the application this week!

The number one safety rule on the first Vmax delivered to our store was to tell the customers to move out before overtaking anything or else you would end up in the back of what was in front of you due to the acceleration being being so instant with the change of one to two carbs feeding each cylinder when you hit that throttle. We had a few that came back within a week of selling with the front end of the bike bent back to the radiator because they did not listen. I remember one guy bought brand new Kawasaki LTD 440 twin who rocked it off of the main stand running and planted the bike into the front wall of the bike shop and totaled it. No matter how we tried to help new or experienced riders the know It all’s always gave us reason to keep trying to educate them on the new bikes. The Vmax is my number one bike to ride on the road.

I’ve dreamed of this bike for 36 years! I finally got a gen 2, 2015 model and it is everything and more than I expected!!!! Bad ass!

You know it's a sick bike when the guy twists the throttle, slows back down, and says a prayer.

When you took off without your Words of Wisdom, I thought "If ever there was a time for an appeal to God, it's before you ride a VMAX."

"the monster's in your garage"

C'mon Sean, you missed the chance to say "between your legs"

I own 4 Vmax years vary. I once raced professionally and keep them all in a custom area inside my home so the memories will never leave me. Good times on the best motorcycle Yamaha ever created.

Still one of the all-time coolest looking bikes. Those are intakes are just iconic.

The V boost found on the first Gen VMAX was actually a butterfly system fitted between the carburetors.
When a specific rpm was reached an actuator would open the butterfly valves between the carburetors allowing a single cylinder to draw from 2 carburetors.

It allowed the VMAX to have good riding characteristics throughout the entire rpm range, reasonable economy and have that high power output.

This is the only motorcycle I've ever heard of that anyone that rides it falls in absolute love

We had an 87 Yamaha Venture with the V-Max engine minus the V-boost. It would just leave all other cruisers and bikes in its class. Massive crazy horsepower on a full bagger full cruiser. Loved it.

That thing has the same size engine has my 2005 honda civic, but has twice the power and none of the weight....That's insane power for a bike.

Rider: idk officer my odometer got blurry so I couldn't tell.

Cop: okay carry on.

The key for vmax has two options. One is the gear grip top like you have and or the normal key. My bike came with both. The gear top was for the guy that just left it in all the time, just twist and go! Looks cool when it’s in too. The normal key is just a key, simple. Love the video! Sad to see vmax discontinued after 2020.

I reconnected with a friend I hadn't seen in a while. He told me he had a bike. I said what model. He said V-Max. I said that makes sense. That's what I love about Yamaha and how they designed the V-Max. They know what it is for and how it will be used. With that in mind it's a perfect reflection of what it should be and how to design to meet those goals; a perfect boulevard blaster.

I had a Yamaha Fazer 700 which was the baby brother to this (even had little fake V-Max scoops) in the same colors, rode that for a while and loved it. Then I stepped up to the first gen V-Max and never wanted for more. I kept up with all my buddies on sport bikes, was more comfortable and did almost zero maintenance. Was the most fun I ever had on a bike. Literally could not smile when you twisted the throttle, even just going for a casual ride.
