Fast Travel - composed by Alexis Kirke, technologist Samuel Freeman.

The four speakers near the middle - 'spkr1', 'spkr2', etc - enclose a large open-plan foyer in an artificial sonic seascape.

The artificially intelligent whales - w1, w2, etc - swim around the virtual audio sea listening to, and attracted to, each other's song, and to the sound of a live saxophonist in the middle of the foyer.

The audience hear the computerized whales singing to each other and to the saxophonist's performance.

Premiere: 6pm Fri 21st Jan 2011, Roland Levinsky Building Foyer, University of Plymouth, UK
